Madhubani painting started when thousands year ago King Janak of India (now Nepal) got murals from local painters made in his palace and city during the preparations for the marriage of his daughter Sita and King Shriram.

Today, the word Madhubani has become a means of livelihood pride and cultural identity for the people of Madhubani. Yet Madhubani art is an ancient art depicting the cultural legacy of Madhubani.

The painting is done with fingers, twigs, brushes, lemon-pen and matchsticks. The specialty of Madhubani style painting is its eye-catching geometric pattern. This Dupatta brings a rare combination of mixing culture and tradition with modernity.This dupatta reflects the touch of the artisan, think and sensibility.  Skill of the craftsman thus making every piece unique

Tussar silk dupatta has been intricately hand painted in traditional madhubani style.  The entire work has been done by rural woman painters of Mithila lived in a closed society.

• Handmade products don’t have a machine-made finish, human imperfections in the handmade products are not categorized as defects. We embrace them and support our artisans.

• We have an exchange policy.

For International Buyer: International orders are not eligible for exchange and/or returns.

For Domestic Buyer:
But, we do not entertain the return of products unless they are received as defected pieces. In such a case we would go ahead and replace the same damaged product.

1. If you really any product is received as damaged/defected you would need to click a snap 5-7 pictures of the damaged or defective item clearly showing the defects/damage of the same and mail it to us at email:

3. Please remember, that we have a strict 1-day claim policy. (more than 1 day we would not consider the replacement).
4. Post our confirmation you would need to courier the same back to us. Once we receive back the defected piece we would intimate you and start the process of replacement. The replacement item would be couriered to you within 10 business days.
5. Our first preference is to replace the item. If the item is not available with us we will credit you your total purchase price.
6. We recommend using an online traceable courier service or “india post” for returning your items.
7. You will be responsible for paying your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable.
8. For the customized and personalized items, the refund policy is not applicable!
